PERSONAL RESILIENCY "Oh no! Not 'another' Personality Test...!
PREP's Secret Sauce - Personal Resiliency
During the early 1980’s, JoAn was asked to work with AT&T during its divestiture reorganization to redesign a recruitment and on-boarding problem for a key highly technical and difficult to hire position with high turnover and stress. In the process she discovered a very unique algorithm that allowed her to identify a root cause for ‘failure to onboard’ as well as measure statistically and individually validated current Personal Resilience markers–a new metric for Understanding People was born.
JoAn’s dream and wish was to design a unique 5-minute Personal Resilience and CORE style assessment so that individuals, up and down any organization type, students with reading levels as young as 8th grade could easily, accurately complete …that was non-threatening, culturally/gender/generation bias-free, accurate to a medical research level and even fun to take, not confusing or tedious. And, for her teacher/trainer background, receiving the results quickly with a trained (certified) personal mentor/coach to support and personally implement the PREP insights.
This unique assessment, in use since 1984, highlights JoAn’s multi-faceted background in intercultural business, human resources affirmative action and retention studies, teaching, foreign languages, and statistical research. She partnered with medical practitioners, including Dr Stephen Mann, statisticians, her mentor Dr Samuel Robert Houston, psychologists, business experts, and investors in order to create the assessment.
Ironically, the much acclaimed CORE Natural Profile was an outcome of addressing the Personal Resilience problem, a by-product of a different, but very related issue!
PREP’s survey and certification programs for Coaches, Managers and individuals launched with a mission to build better self, work, family understanding, communications, trust and resilience. It’s as applicable then as now.
Not the usual “Personality Profile.” PREP retains its uniqueness for measuring Personal Resilience even today with social media’s abundance of test options.
