CLIENT STORIES Idealease

How does a successful, rapidly growing North American alternative-full service integrative leasing and rental services and vehicles company better attract, identify and engage top potential talent in highly competitive job market… in a simple, straight-forward way that aligns with their strongly held vision and values?

Background

Idealease, Inc. is an innovative full-service integrated truck lease, rental, service and maintenance company serving North America, based in Barrington, IL.  Idealease delivers expertise, responsiveness and stability to corporations as an alternative to expensive, often inefficient internal operations and truck ownership.  Their expertise in the truck transportation industry with commercial vehicles offers customers transportation options that result in superior service and predictable cost. They are proud of their industry-leading customer retention rates.

Their Challenge

Hiring the right people and retaining them is a top priority for Senior Vice President of National Account Sales, Doug Gosnell. Doug and Idealease tried a number of assessment tools to aid them in the hiring process and managing them. “We found them to be overbearing for the candidate. The data those products provided was massive, confusing and often conflicting.”

The Solution

Doug and Idealease have been using the PREP tool now for several years, both in the interview process and with current team members.

According to Doug, “PREP is a simple and expedient tool that is easy to interpret and provides direct and useful insight to a candidate’s potential fit for the position.

“With current team members, periodically using the PREP tool has been an important leadership tool. It provides insight into the team member’s motivation and stress level. This helps me determine when and how I can lean in or possibly need to take a more relaxed approach with an employee.”

The Results

Doug commented that since using PREP, the quality of Idealease’s hires has been far more successful and the employee retention in his department has been 100%.
