How organizations build stronger teams, make better hires, and support their leaders.
Leadership & Team Building:
Building a High-Performance Team in One of America's Fastest-Growing Cities
The Challenge
When Tim Casey became Executive Director of the Bend Chamber of Commerce, he inherited an ambitious mandate: deliver education, training, and advocacy programs to 1,500+ members—a larger membership than Portland’s chamber—with a team of nine.
His staff was stretched thin. People wore multiple hats, worked long hours, and took on responsibilities outside their strengths just to keep up. Morale was slipping. Quality was at risk. Tim knew that without a change, service levels would drop and good people would leave.
The Approach
Every team member completed PREP’s 5-minute assessment. The results gave the group clear insight into their individual CORE Character traits—and how those traits fit together as a team. A certified PREP consultant facilitated workshops that mapped each person’s strengths to team roles and responsibilities.
The Results
The team rewrote job descriptions along profile lines. No one had to change who they are—they just started working where they fit. Collaboration improved. Morale increased. They met the challenge.
“PREP opened our eyes to the various personality types and how they fit together to create a high-performing team. Morale has increased, we work much better as a team, we’re more productive and we collaborate better.”
— Tim Casey, Executive Director (Retired), Bend Chamber of Commerce
Hiring & Retention:

Smarter Hiring and Full Retention in a Competitive Market
The Challenge:
Idealease is one of North America’s largest commercial truck leasing companies—430+ locations, 45,000+ vehicles, and a business model built on responsive service. When a client’s truck breaks down, they need technicians who can diagnose and fix it fast. That means hiring matters. A bad fit costs time, money, and customer trust.
Doug Gosnell, Senior Vice President, had tried numerous assessment tools to improve hiring and management. None of them worked the way he needed.
“We found them to be overbearing for the candidate. The data those products provided was massive, confusing and often conflicting.”
The Approach
Candidates now complete PREP’s 5-minute assessment as part of the interview process. Current team members use PREP periodically to track motivation and stress levels over time—catching problems before they become turnover.
“PREP is a simple and expedient tool that is easy to interpret and provides direct and useful insight to a candidate’s potential fit for the position. With current team members, periodically using the PREP tool provides insight into motivation and stress level.”
The Results
Since adopting PREP, hire quality has improved significantly. Employee retention in Doug’s department: 100%.
Recruiting:
A Recruiting Firm That Recruits Smarter
The Challenge
Gregg Salkovich has spent over a decade building sales recruiting firms—including one that hit the Inc. 5000 for fastest-growing companies three years running. His firm, Right Choice Resources, specializes in placing top-performing salespeople and sales leaders nationwide.
The candidates they pursue aren’t typically looking for new jobs. They’re already successful. That makes the bar even higher: a few hours of interviews can reveal qualifications, but culture fit is harder to see. And when you’re recommending someone to a client, you need to be sure.
“It’s difficult to accurately assess someone’s qualifications and culture fit after only a few hours with them.”
The Approach
Every candidate now completes PREP’s 5-minute assessment before Right Choice recommends them to a client company. The results give the team a comprehensive view of each candidate’s CORE Character—and they use that knowledge to ask more effective interview questions.
Internally, a team-matching report gave leadership clear guidance on how to manage each employee based on their individual style.
The Results
Better insight, better matches, and better outcomes—both for client placements and for Right Choice’s own team.
“It was like having a management instruction manual at our fingertips.”
— Gregg Salkovich, Founder, Right Choice Resources
