Learn About CORE™ Character Traits
The CORE Character Traits and the Adaptive Style are the heart of our CORE Trait Insights. The more you understand of the different CORE styles, the more you will understand and appreciate your strengths and challenges, as well as others- at home and at work.
We measure four core dimensions on a continuum, not as fixed types: CONTROLLING, OUTGOING, RELAXED, and EXACTING. myCORE reports keep results clear and straightforward. COREpro and PREP reports show exact measurements and give you deeper insight. Your primary trait is the one that shows up strongest. It usually describes about half of your behaviors and motivations. Nothing is set in stone. Some people lead with a fifth pattern: ADAPTIVE.

Counter-Traits
Each trait has a scale with two sides. Your primary trait is the most pronounced CORE trait. Your counter-trait is the dimension farthest from one of the CORE traits, which has its own dynamics and strengths. Read together, your key trait and counter-trait explain 70–80% of your day-to-day behavior. Reading them together is exactly what myCOREself does.
